1. I have archived much of my life through collected objects.
2. I have moved a smaller studio, making it necessary that I get rid of a lot of these objects.
3. I have done so by using them as the raw material for one enormous collage, created inside a 30-yard dumpster.
4. Oh, also, I have photographed around 500 of these objects and will display them here, accompanied by a brief history of each item.

THIS IS WHAT THE FINISHED PRODUCT IS

So this is what the interior of theDumpster looks like. It is shown here at the Invisible Dog Art Center in Brooklyn. Kacy Jahanbini took this picture.

This is the right interior side of the Dumpster. There's a back and a left side, too. Also, a floor and a roof. Yup, it's a place.
Here is the Dumpster at the Dekalb Market in Brooklyn. This shot does a good job showing off the roof designed by Fleetwood Fernandez Architecture (http://www.fleetwoodfernandez.com/content/index_flash.html)

I am represented by the good folks at the Pavel Zoubok Gallery, who brought the Dumpster to Miami last winter for the Pulse Art Fair. Here it is, Miami-ing it up.

And this is how it travels. On a truck. A dumpster truck.

  2. I visited it yesterday. The one stalled in the Metrotech Center, Brooklyn. Impressive. An unconventional way to treasure your memories!
